Harry & Jackie Alsup's Pond - Quasqueton Iowa
Note: I lost many pictures of the construction of this pond. What is not pictured, is that both settling chambers contain a 55 gallon barrel filled with Bickal Bio-Rope.
The origional stream and pond.

Jackie sketched what she wanted the filter to look like.

The design for the remodel which includes four 4" drains, and two settling chambers.

The green treated frame is build for the settling chambers and pumphouse.

The plumbing is completed. The two 4" drains (right side) are coming in from the bottom drains. The 3" line (middle) is for draining the waste via a 3" gate valve (left side).

Old carpeting and rubber are used as underlayment.

The settling chamber can be seen in the background. There are two 4" holes, these will be for skimmers.

The pond is complete. Harry build a beautiful building over the filter chamber and pumphouse.

Harry resting after some very hard work.
